| Abstract： | The classification of isoparametric hypersurfaces in the unit sphere has much progress recently by two papers published in Ann. Math. We study the properties of isoparametric foliation in spheres, such as giving an affirmative answer to Yau's conjecture on the first eigenvalue for isoparametric case and calculating the first eigenvalues of the focal submanifolds; proving that all the focal submanifolds of isoparametric hypersurfaces with g=4 are Willmore submanifolds of spheres, even further, determining which are Einstein; we also present counter examples of Yau's conjecture on the number of critical points of the k-th eigenfunction. |
